The State Water Resources Control Board's San Diego Regional Board has an opening for an Environmental Scientist within the Wetland and Riparian Protection Unit (WRPU). The position is located at 2375 Northside Drive, Suite 100, San Diego.
Under the close supervision of the WRPU Supervisor and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.
The Environmental Scientist will perform a broad range of aquatic resource assessment and permitting for dredged and fill material discharges and other related San Diego Water Board program work.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
