Job Description
You will play a key role in project management for environmental and geology-related projects. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience in environmental science, with strong technical writing skills and a demonstrated record of diverse project experience in Pennsylvania (experience in New Jersey is a plus). Experience with Phase 1 and 2 Act 2, RCRA, Brownfield, Geotechnical/Soils projects is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental and geology-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Conduct environmental assessments, including Phase 1 and 2 site investigations, Act 2 compliance, RCRA assessments, and Brownfield evaluations.
- Perform geotechnical and soil investigations, analyzing soil samples and interpreting results.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors to facilitate project progress and compliance.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and permit applications with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Conduct fieldwork, including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and site inspections as needed.
- Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients, addressing project-specific challenges and requirements.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer) are a plus.
- Five to ten years of experience in environmental science, geology or related field, with a focus on project management.
- Strong technical writing skills, with experience in preparing technical reports and proposals.
- Demonstrated record of diverse project experience in Pennsylvania; experience in New Jersey is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements, including Phase 1 and 2 Act 2, RCRA, and Brownfield regulations.
- Experience with geotechnical investigations and soil analysis techniques preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
