This position supports the implementation and maintenance of the Bank's environmental policy through the evaluation of real estate properties. Reviews environmental reports and data from independent sources to determine risks associated with real estate properties. Ensures that environmental due diligence is reasonable, within risk tolerance, and in compliance with applicable regulations. Serves as an educational resource to field associates on environmental and general real estate or collateral questions, and provides support to related projects as needed.
*This role has a 1 day a week in office requirement*
Responsibilities
- Analysis - Analyzes environmental reports and data from independent sources, ensuring integrity of data sourced. Performs evaluations on real estate properties and communicates results to the appropriate parties.
- Business Support - Assists in implementing and maintaining the Bank's environmental policy in compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Assists in foreclosure decisioning for specific real estate properties due to environmental conditions. Performs special projects as needed to aid management.
- Identifying Risk - Utilizes results of analysis and recommendations from vendors or state agencies to determine risks associated with real estate properties. Communicates risk to the appropriate parties, presenting it within the bounds of acceptable risk tolerance.
- Environmental Expertise - Assists associates with environmental questions, problems, or concerns. Addresses real estate and loan compliance issues within the context of environmental policy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Environmental Review or Policy

High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Environmental Review or Policy
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of environmental due diligence and the risk review process.
- Knowledge and understanding of general banking terms with an emphasis on environmental terminology, policies, and procedures.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to have critical conversation with cross functional partners.
