Role and Responsibilities
- Planning, developing, and implementing environmental strategies and policies throughout the organization
- Conducting environmental research
- Staying up to date with news in environmental issues, such as natural disasters and endangered species
- Raising awareness throughout the organization of current environmental issues
- Evaluating current environmental strategies and adjusting them accordingly
- Monitoring resource use to ensure it complies with waste management and recycling policies
- Analyzing environmental monitoring data and preparing compliance reports
- Providing training to employees to ensure their understanding of environmental policies
- Coordinating or attending public hearings, conferences, and events on environmental issues
- Collect and/or manage critical environmental data/records, including but not limited to: Caustic and VOC scrubber logs, former cleaning logs, water consumption data, piezometer readings, waste manifests, laboratory analytical reports, and DEQ correspondence.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- College degree in environmental management, environmental policy, environmental engineering, or a similar field required.
- 5+ years of work experience in environmental related capacity required.

- In-depth knowledge of National or State environmental policies

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to develop innovative project ideas for reducing environmental impact
