Overview
TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Environmental Interns for Planning, Permitting, and Licensing for our Summer 2024 intern program out of our West Seneca, NY office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2024 (flexible). This position has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role upon graduation. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists.
Responsibilities
- Wetland delineation technician (support a lead, take GPS points, process data)
- Supporting large scale renewables in New York
- Writing technical reports
- Conducting agency consultations
- Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
- Support the preparation of reports, plans and specifications for client
- Will be supported by leaders, mentors and teammates
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21+ years old with a valid Driver's License
- Pursuing Bachelor or Master Degree in Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Environmental Conservation, Natural Resource Management, Ornithology, or related field
- Prior experience in bird identification
- Field work oriented and able to write and understand technical documents
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, detail orientated person
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow
- Previous experience conducting avian-related field work is preferred but not required

Salary Range
USD $18.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
