About Our Internship Program
Throughout the course of the internship, interns either work on-site or virtually and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn session and receive training customized by our business units. This unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and Globally. The interns will understand first-hand what a career at Stanley Black & Decker is like and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Additional social activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with SBD professionals. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity and self-confidence. Interns must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
During your internship you will have the opportunity to support Environmental Health & Safety with key activities including:
- Using established EHS data processes to report data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
- Analyze safety data to propose solutions for, and coordinate the safety effort, for continual improvement.
- Evaluate non-standard tasks to uncover risks and identify corrective actions.
- Review processes for compliance with policies.
You will have exposure to several areas of the EHS at Stanley Black & Decker and will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross functional team of professionals.

Qualifications:
The Summer Environmental Health & Safety intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications:
- Rising Junior or Senior, Target graduation date in 2025 or 2026
- Majoring in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Operations, Supply Chain Engineering Business Administration Degree
- Strong Academic Credentials
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and how the apply to plant operations.
- Successfully manage strong academics with extracurricular activities.
