The purpose of this role is to provide essential safety, health, and environmental processes oversight, technical knowledge, and direction as listed. This role will coordinate between numerous programs and consultants, and will act as a representative of the Project team ensuring technical accuracy of all environmental aspects of the project under the direction of the Project SHE Senior Manager. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the FEL-3 phase of the project meets the specifications determined in the PDP and FEL-2 phases. This role will serve as a technical authority on the project or will perform engineering assignments of varying complexity.
Specific Duties:
Lead all environmental activities under the direction of the Project SHE Senior Manager
Identify specialty contractors as needed
Oversee and coordinate all environmental consultant activities
Respond to routine environmental permitting requests
Ensure project permitting designs are incorporated into equipment specifications
Ensure project follows the overall permitting strategy
Incorporate Sustainability into the Project
Stay abreast of environmental permitting requirements
Support and provide accurate information to the public relations activity
Meet with permitting agencies to inform them of the project
Lead and participate in weekly permitting meetings including wetlands permitting for site development, HHR and marine terminal
Participate in design reviews
Participate in detailed FEL 3 and 4 Reviews
Participate with OSBL team and contractor to ensure project meets requirements of environmental permitting elements
Routine participation in ISBL project reviews
Review and comment on all ISBL and OSBL PFD, P&IDs, Layouts, stack locations and Emissions/Waste/Wastewater estimates from contractors
Coordinate permit application development and submittals
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate response to review agency comments and RFIs
Oversee and ensure timely and accurate response to public comments as needed
Actively participate in health risk modeling and assessment
Review and ensure advanced Wastewater design ensures compliance with MACT
ACONEX reviews as needed
Target Hours:
This role is expected to be full-time, 40 hours per week.

Advanced knowledge of air regulations and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
Managing and leading a large project
Licensed engineer, any discipline, HIGHLY preferred
Professional registration and active participation in technical society
