In this position, the Environmental Graphic Production Designer will be an integral part of the Experience Design Team, leading & supporting the translation of visual communications into the retail environment. In this role, the Environmental Graphic Production Designer is responsible for strategically applying and documenting kit-of-parts programs across a client’s network; as well as presenting work to clients to create positive and connective experiences.

 

The ideal candidate is an accomplished creative with 3+ years of experience in Environmental Graphic design with a strong portfolio that demonstrates a track record of applying retail programs across networks. Candidate should possess exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidate needs to be able to work in an office that has a casual corporate culture with a collaborative team approach. This position is located in Portsmouth, NH.

 

Accountabilities

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to apply graphics, branded environment programs, signage and wayfinding solutions that create consistent brand experiences
  • Strategically adapt and apply document a variety of design/communication programs, wayfinding/signage systems and retail windows programs.
  • Serves as prime interface with the client and consultants with regard to design issues and presentation.
  • Ensures design quality of all design projects and maintains documentation and detailing standards for all projects.
  • Generates production artwork that is built to scale, annotates files, manages documentation and image assets, submits files to vendors for production.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to own, manage and execute multiple (3+) projects at a time.
  • Collaborates with relevant contributors including internal and external subject matter experts, and outside consultants.
  • Works within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate the completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion.
  • Works with project managers to coordinate schedule, team meetings and establish agendas.
  • Understands other disciplines within the studio.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Education in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or other related arts field
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • Excellent skills in Adobe Suite
  • Proficiency with CAD Tools, MS Office; Interior Design skills are a plus
  • Strong visual sense and understanding of typography, composition, multiple media platforms, legibility, standards development, documentation, fabrication and implementation
  • Knowledge of wayfinding planning experience including conducting research, site survey, and documenting design solutions (sign type drawings, message schedules & location plans)
  • Proficiency drawing in scale and familiarity with architectural construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings
  • Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organized with the ability to breakdown each project into tasks while adhering to project timelines
  • Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter who has a keen sense of urgency and follow through
  • A post-graduate portfolio that demonstrates experience with various aspects of Environmental Graphic Design work within an established design/branding or in-house studio (including but not limited to wayfinding strategy, conceptual design, design intent drawings, etc.)
