Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities:
- Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation, and regulations on company operations, and develops and implements appropriate compliance programs.
- Frequently works with regulatory agencies and environmental contacts both internal and external to Spirit.
- Coordinates and conveys information on developing legislation and regulatory programs by meeting with representatives of industry, regulatory agencies, government, and the public.
- Conducts studies and performs analyses and calculations involving appropriate design, selection, installation, and operation of pollution control equipment, waste and chemical process systems, and remediation.
- Prepares permit applications and completes all monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting required for the facility. Integrates and assists in the development of company data management systems for environmental programs.
- Develops, implements, and monitors environmental projects and programs ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits along with the mission, vision, and values of Spirit.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or other related field or equivalent experience.
