Primary Tasks:
1. You will assure compliance with federal, state, local, and tribal regulations for Choctaw Nation facilities by scheduling, conducting, documenting and following up on sample collections, inspections, walk through's or incident related issues. Help with incident investigation and analysis.
2. You will communicate with federal, state and local regulatory agencies by telephone, email or in person visit to resolve questions, requirements. Participate in environmental regulatory inspections.
3. You will respond to Choctaw Nation internal requests for environmental related assistance.
4. You will train site staff on responsibilities associated with appropriate federal, state, local, and tribal regulations.
5. You will maintain necessary technical and laboratory certifications to conduct assigned tasks. Analyze data and report it.
6. You will help develop Choctaw Nation environmental policies. Implement environmental policies and best management practices.
7. You will maintain good documentation of all job-related activities.
8. You will compile and submit quarterly progress reports to EPA Project Officer. Complete status and progress reporting documents per program goals. Review monthly financial reports and maintain budget spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets). Maintain and revise grant goals and budget and monitor line-item fluctuations to complete funding obligations, if necessary.
9. Other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in a science related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Environmental Certification in a related program (UST, lead based paint, asbestos, mold, safe drinking water)
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently or in a group and manage priorities
•Five (5) years of related work in the environmental field
