Job description

When it comes to environmental consulting, we're focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We're seeking an Environmental Compliance Onsite Support Specialist to support various client site projects as part of our Environment, Health and Safety team. You'll be working with our confidential manufacturing client while based out of our Bellevue, Washington office, and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with local and global experts to ensure Jacobs provides best practice solutions to our clients. You'll prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentation to clients' technical and senior leadership in accordance with Jacobs' quality process. We'll rely on you to apply and grow your technical experience to develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, and quality. This role requires being onsite with our client and may also require some travel to this site, our team workshops, presentations, and also to conduct site visits. Typical salary range for this position is $54,400 to $71,325 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree.

Professional air quality project experience, including*:

*Monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual compliance monitoring (e.g. hazardous material usage/tracking and permit compliance related to Aerospace National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (AHESHAP), Notice of Construction, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), Title V Air Operating Permit (AOP)).

*Air compliance reporting for two large Title V facilities (e.g. Greenhouse gas (GhG), PSD, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) emissions inventory, semiannual and annual Air Operating Permit (AOP), ANESHAP, etc.).

 *New Source Review permitting.

Experience with Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) reporting.

Experience with records management and retention.

Experience with data/database management and problem solving (i.e. typically using Microsoft Access and Excel; other database experience a plus); including the above plus annual database turnover to archive server, supporting on-demand production data and hazardous materials usage requests from team members.

Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail, and ability to perform QA/QC of all data reporting and monitoring information.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous development and active engagement in professional networks, company communities of practice groups or similar.

Experience with direct client interaction (engineers, managers, or hourly employees).

Proven organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.

Experience with environmental consulting projects and representing clients to stakeholders including regulatory agencies.

Familiarity with Washington and federal environmental regulations and regulatory processes.

Ability to work onsite at a client facility, and travel locally between facilities.

Ideally, You'll Also Have:

3-5 years of air quality project experience, as we're ideally seeking this level of experience as best fit within our current team.

Master's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and teammates.
