Job Description

These job requirements allow the employee to work at a Lockheed Martin-designated office or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined regular, recurring telework schedule for the remaining part of their work schedule.
This position is for an experienced Printed Wiring Board (PWB) layout engineer. The successful candidate will complete placement and layout of High-Density Interconnect (HDI) high speed printed wiring boards (PWBs) utilizing tools such as Zuken CR-8000 and Cadence Allegro. Boards will consist of digital and RF mixed designs. Position requires the direct interaction and collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing and EMI engineers. Candidate will be responsible for layout from placement through fabrication artwork generation. Must be detailed oriented with the ability to effectively communicate status and maintain high visibility critical program schedules. Candidate will also be responsible for bidding of proposals, earned value management, program statusing, program setup and kickoff.

The Locale: Owego, New York is located about 200 miles northwest of New York City and about 75 miles south of Syracuse New York. Owego sits just north of the border with Pennsylvania and is part of what's known as the "Southern Tier" section of New York State. The region is home to Binghamton University and Cornell University. Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience laying out printed wiring boards using software such as Zuken CR-8000, Mentor Graphics or Cadence is required
- Experience with advanced analog and high speed digital PWB layout design techniques
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired skills
- Zuken CR-8000 or other PWB design tool experience (Mentor Graphics or Cadence) is desired
- Experience with flex and rigid flex PWB design
- Experience with multi-layer, single and double sided designs
- Experience with blind, buried, and micro vias with sequential laminate composition
- Experience routing High Speed, Highly constrained digital interfaces including PCIe, DDR3 Memory and Gigabit Ethernet.
- Experience with fine pitch surface mount devices with a pitch <1mm
- Experience leading a team of 3 or more individuals focused on Printed Wiring Board Layout
- Experience designing PWBs for producibility and reliability (IPC-610)
- Experience developing PWBs for EMI/EMC applications (DO-160, MIL-STD-461)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Experience with Basis of Estimating (BOE) Creation, Earned Value Management (EVM), Scheduling and tracking status.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
