Sovereign Consulting Inc. is seeking a full-time Mid-Level Environmental / Civil Engineer or Geologist with 5-7 years of experience for our Holyoke, MA location. Sovereign Consulting Inc. is an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Provide field and office support of site investigations involving oversight of environmental drilling, well installation and soil sampling
- Support environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remediation design
- Provide construction, excavation and dredging quality control and/or health and safety oversight
- Complete Operations & Maintenance activities for remedial systems as needed
- Assist with technical report preparation of Massachusetts Contingency Plan and ASTM documents including data input and interpretation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Handle other related duties assigned; and
- Adherence to Sovereign Consulting Inc. health and safety procedures in all field related activities
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of related experience is required
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or environmental or geology engineering
- Desire to obtain PE or PG certification
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- OSHA 30-hr Construction or General Industry certification, a plus
- USACE Contractor Quality Control Training or ability to be trained
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft office, Adobe, MassGIS and CAD a plus
- Must have excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills
- Must have a good driving record and be able to dive a company vehicle

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
