- Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Minimize environmental impact of organization and maximize energy efficiencies
- Manage organizational waste streams and emissions to positively impact environment and organization
- Build educated workforce about environmental policies, procedures, awareness, and sustainability
- Mange strong emergency response plans for environmental incidents for team member and environmental safety.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Stay up to date with environmental laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry.
- Ensure that the manufacturing facility complies with all environmental permits and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address compliance issues.
- Environmental Impact Assessment
- Assess the environmental impact of manufacturing processes, products, and materials.
- Identify areas where environmental improvements can be made and recommend solutions.
- Waste Management
- Develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs.
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor waste streams to optimize resource utilization and minimize environmental impact.
- Air Quality and Emissions Management
- Monitor and manage air emissions, including emissions from equipment and processes.
- Implement strategies to reduce air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Water Management
- Manage water usage, treatment, and discharge processes.
- Ensure compliance with water quality standards and permits.
- Identify opportunities for water conservation.
- Energy Efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve energy efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives and technologies.
- Environmental Reporting
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
- Maintain records and documentation related to environmental compliance.
- Environmental Training and Education
- Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental policies and procedures.
- Promote environmental awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
- Sustainability Initiatives
- Develop and support sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
- Track and report on sustainability metrics and progress toward environmental goals.
- Emergency Response Planning
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for environmental incidents.
- Ensure readiness to address environmental emergencies.
- Communication: Ability write and speak with influence, listen attentively, and foster open communication
- Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with people across the business, maintain positive relationships, foster teamwork across departments

- Project management
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of related environmental experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, including EPA, OSHA, and state-specific requirements.
- ISO-14001 experience.
- Experience with environmental management systems (EMS) such as ISO 14001.
- Project management experience.
- Certification as a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar credentials may be beneficial.
