SalaryWe are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our Fire Department. The Entry or Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic will be responsible for putting out fires and saving lives, as well as responding to medical emergencies where victims require advanced life support. The ideal candidate will have a high level of training and experience in extinguishing fires, as well as the ability to respond to various types of emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Carry an incapacitated person from a building.
- Administer CPR until further medical care is provided.
- Use proper rescue strategies and techniques to extricate victims from a car accident.
- Assist with initial patient care and check on the welfare of other people at the scene of an accident.
- Perform first aid on injured persons.
- Respond to an emergency call and determine the nature of the call and whether it is a real emergency or a false alarm.
- Determine if there are injuries and how to treat them.
- Write incident reports documenting calls.
