Entry Level Surveyor - 2316

We are looking for an Entry-Level Surveyor to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in land surveying and zero to six years of experience. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.
• Perform various survey calculations
• Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations
• Assist with the preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
• Search legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information
• Assist with writing descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents
• Assist with monitoring equipment and survey supplies
• Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
• Monitor task budget and progress
• Conduct on-site inspections as needed
• Prepare project status and other reports
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Assist Project Managers
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
• Attend seminars and/or training classes
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying

Skills/Experience:

• Zero to six years of experience in land surveying required
• Field experience required
