We are currently seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician at our Irvine, CA location. Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is an impressive Quality Assurance tool that is used for examination and testing of materials using ultrasonic sound frequencies that will not change or destroy the parts usefulness.
As an Ultrasonic Testing Technician, you will have the opportunity for continued learning, career growth and pay increases with successful completion of training milestones. You will work with testing and inspection equipment to provide examination and testing metallic parts for jet engine components.
A successful Ultrasonic Testing Technician has strong attention to detail and embraces the opportunity to be empowered to make important decisions regarding the integrity of our components.
Position responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily ultrasonic setups, examination, and testing of components to determine acceptability of product.
- Examining product for possible defects and documenting results accordingly.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and procedures in order to accomplish ultrasonic setups, tests and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Basic Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic skills with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Dedication to safe work practices
- Capable of distinguishing and differentiating colors
- Vision of 20/25 in at least one eye, natural or corrected
