We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Entry Level Manual Test Engineer or Manual QA. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to start their career in software testing. As a Manual Test Engineer, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through Manual Testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Test Case Development: Assist in the creation and documentation of Manual Test cases based on software requirements and specifications.
- Test Execution: Execute Manual Test cases to validate software functionality, performance, usability, and compatibility across different platforms and environments.
- Defect Identification: Identify, isolate, and report software defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla), providing detailed descriptions and steps to reproduce.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that software changes and enhancements have not adversely affected existing functionality.
- Ad Hoc Testing: Perform exploratory testing to uncover defects and issues that may not be covered by predefined test cases.
- Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of testing requirements and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level) are a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills:
- Understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with testing techniques such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and boundary value analysis.
- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to executing test cases and documenting test results.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot software defects effectively.
- Teamwork and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for conveying testing results and collaborating with team members.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies as required by project needs.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $60,581.76 - $85,507.07 per year
