We are seeking an Entry Writer / clerical assistant in our Busy Custom's Broker Office! Our goal is to find someone who is looking for a career not just a job. The freight industry is one of the oldest in the world. Working in our office you will get to experience both sides of the shipping industry. Import and Export shipment processing requires someone who is able to multitask, stay organize and stay motivated in a high stress environment. If you need to be told what to do every day...this is not the job for you. Responsibilities:
- Process Import and Export Shipments and Assist Other Entry Writers in Document Preparation
- Answer Phones - You Cannot Be Shy About This!
- Work with Existing Customers and Vendors
- Communicate with Government Officers, Drivers, Airlines, CFS Locations, Customers and Vendors Regarding Shipments.
- Make Files, Put Files Away and Help Keep Office Organized
- Enter Data in QuickBooks with Accuracy
- Work with New Customers
- Perform all Other Office Tasks
- Able to Manage Your Stress When the Office is Busy
- Able to Work with Our Team to Complete Task Accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous Experience In an Office
- Wants to Work in an Office Atmosphere Every Day - This Will Never Be a Work From Home Position
- Ability to Prioritize and Multitask
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Be Able to Pickup the Phones Day One and Talk to People
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Previous Entry Writing Experience is a Plus
- Must Be Able to Get to Work on Time...Every Day
