Entry-Level Accountant – Start Your Career!
About the Company and Opportunity:
- Our client is a long-standing law firm in DC!
- Due to growth, they are hiring an Entry-Level Accountant in their DC office.
- Position is hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days in office) after training.
- Pay: $24-26/hr
- This position is great for recent 2022 – 2023 grads who are looking to gain experience in the accounting field!

Overview of the Entry-Level Accountant role:
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly (including accounts payable, prepaids and other liability accounts) for monthly closing process.
- Transaction processing including invoices, cash receipts, credit cards, and collections.
- Maintains financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
- Process expense reimbursements, international wires, and student award payments.
- Communicate with departments and vendors to resolve issues/discrepancies relating to invoices and payments.
- Prepare and enter journal entries for prepaids and month end invoice accruals.
- Maintain Vendor and Journal Entry files.
- Assist with financial audit as needed.
Preferred Qualifications for the Entry-Level Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
