- Advise on the application of relevant laws and regulations as they relate to the acquisition or development of goods, services, software, and data by the Bank;
- Advise the Bank’s Technology Group and business lines on legal issues relating to software development including Agile practices and contract terms, software-as-a-service, cloud services, data management and licensing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and open source software;
- Provide legal guidance on cybersecurity, privacy, and third party risk management, including contract terms to manage risk and enable compliance;
- Draft and maintain template agreements; review contracts, requests for proposal, and related procurement documents;
- Provide legal support for a range of matters across New York Fed business areas, including real estate and property management, food service, construction and facilities management as well as intellectual property, publishing, and social media; and
- Advise on legal issues relating to emerging and innovative technology products and services.
- Juris doctor with demonstrated expertise in advising internal clients across the enterprise in a range of practice areas;
- Admission to the New York State bar;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated attention to detail and critical thinking;
- Sustained ability to collaborate with team members and client representatives within the Bank and the Federal Reserve System with a solutions-oriented approach;
- Strong drafting skills, particularly with respect to transactional documents;
- Experience negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts;
