JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
- Execute Data Governance processes in line with the organization's business strategy and objectives, cascading throughout the enterprise.
- Implement and manage local information processes, including data stewardship, cataloging, data quality, and master data management to enable lines of business.
- Provide change management and rollout leadership in the federation of governance processes to business areas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and information experts across the enterprise to catalog and maintain metadata definitions and data quality thresholds using Alation and Informatica.
- Coordinate and train data stewards across lines of business.
- Manage preventative and detective controls.
- Develop and manage cataloging processes, data quality rules, audit compliance to standards/policies.
- Manage scorecards and dashboards measuring effectiveness of EDG Program.
- Ensure global data compliance with applicable international (GDPR), federal, and state (CCPA) data regulations.
Reporting Relationship
Typically reports to Manager or above
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, business or related
- 5 (five) years of experience as a software developer, software data analyst, data analyst, data consultant or related.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree and five years of experience, will also accept a master's degree and 3 years of experience in the same fields.
Must have some work experience with each of the following:
- Collaborate with stakeholders and information experts across the enterprise to catalog and maintain metadata definitions and data quality thresholds using Alation (Data Cataloging) and Informatica (Cloud Data Quality);
- Implement and manage local information processes, including data stewardship, cataloging, data quality, and master data management within insurance;
- Ensure global data compliance with applicable international (GDPR), federal, and state (CCPA) data regulations.
Primary Location: United States - Chicago, IL
Organization - Analytics
Mon-Fri., 8:30am - 4:45pm, 37.5 hours/week, $137,218 to $144,906 per year, overtime exempt. This position qualifies for CNA's employee referral policy program.
