Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform Engineer

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Senior/Officer Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform Engineer to join our Data Platform Delivery team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the operational management and platform quality assurance of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform (EDAP) and its corresponding technology toolchain. This includes both the new technologies and capabilities as well as the transitioning legacy systems for Data & Analytics as appropriately identified in the FHB Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy and roadmap.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Compensation:

The annual salary range for the Senior role is: $80,000 - $97,000 per year; commensurate with experience.

The annual salary range for the Officer role is: $92,000 - $125,000 per year; commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, mathematics, or quantitative analysis required.
• *Certifications: If not already obtained, required to obtain within 1 year of employment.
• SnowPro Advance Certification (Snowflake) required.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics – Associate required.
• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence 4.2 required.
• Tableau Desktop Specialist or equivalent required.
• ThoughtSpot Professional or equivalent required.
• *Required experience may be obtained concurrently. 1 year of relevant data platform experience can be substituted with higher education qualifications in the areas of concentration below.

• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills essential to communicate with all levels of management and influencing skills to articulate, motivate and engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver presentations in front and a large group when necessary.
• Self-motivated, organized to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to work independently with high level general supervision.
• Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple competing deadlines with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to apply effective critical thinking skills towards complex problems and offer logical solutions.
