As part of Digital Technologies, the Enterprise Applications & Analytics team partners closely with the Corporate & MGS service lines to deliver key strategic priorities enabled through ‘best in class’ technologies & capabilities.

Program & project management continues to fundamental capabilities supporting such significant digital change, and as a result this has created an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Manager to join the Digital Technologies Enterprise Applications & Analytics (EAA) team. This role will be responsible for leading a variety of areas, such as developing the Portfolio Centre of Excellence (CoE), embedding industry best PMO standards across the function, driving consistency within the portfolio through CoE capabilities across the EAA portfolio.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Co-develop and embed Enterprise applications and Analytics Portfolio management operating model.

  • Lead the portfolio Centre of Excellence (CoE), line manage associates & 3rd party contractors to deliver an effective program management office capability (PMO)

  • Continuously evaluating portfolio risks and opportunities to ensure projects are meeting PMO standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.

  • Establish a PMO CoE and deploy high quality governance processes for projects and programs across the Enterprise Applications & Analytics portfolio (e.g. Digital Core, Continuous Improvement/BAU etc)..

  • Drive standardization of PMO processes across the EAA team, in partnership with other enterprise & segment PMO teams (e.g. MGS Portfolio Leads & functional PMO leads)

  • Develop set of reporting standards & dashboards to communicate up and down the organization the status of the portfolio.

  • Track & manage resource allocation, PM training %, PM budget accuracy.

  • Prepare standard communication materials for Quarterly Business Review (QBRs)

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Management Information Systems, Business, or related field

  • Extensive portfolio, program, and project management skills/experience, including or line management experience (with direct reports)

  • A project management professional qualification (PMP, Prince2 or equivalents) – highly desirable

  • Experienced in establishing PMO Centre of Excellence and Community of Practice.

  • Knowledge of project management & demand management tools (Smartsheet, ServiceNOW PPM, JIRA, MS Project Management)

  • Proven track record of delivering PMO standards within multinational organisation.

  • Ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment, maintain positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness

  • Experience providing work direction and leadership to people and teams in a management role

  • Excellent understanding of industry standard project management methodologies (e.g. SDLC, Waterfall, Agile (Kanban, Scrum, SaFe)

  • Strong influence management skills; communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of the organisation)
