SALARY RANGE: $24.20-$35.13/hour ($50,530-$73,351/annual)

RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is a primary liaison between the Latino/Latinx community and ATCC’s academic and non-academic business functions and resources. The position manages enrollment of students as defined by college processes and Minnesota State policies related to program admissions. Working with other college offices, Enrollment Specialists are a primary source of information to guide potential students regarding educational options and program choice.
In the Success Coaching capacity, this position provides first level support that successfully guides Latino/Latinx students through academic and non-academic challenges by instructing students on higher education systems and practices. Working in tandem with the program advisors, liberal arts and sciences advisors, and the counseling position, this role acts as the primary liaison with a caseload of advisees. Through rapport and use of strong interpersonal skills, the success navigator intentionally builds active relationships with students throughout the semester offering comprehensive support through all aspects of the higher education experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree. Demonstrated fluency in both English and Spanish. Demonstrated familiarity with the culture and history of the Latino/Latinx communities. Demonstrated background and knowledge of the issues facing immigrant students, including undocumented students. Two years of experience in sales and marketing or student services, working with students (specifically students of color, international students and students originating from outside the US), or related experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills (oral and written). Demonstrated skills in Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint), spreadsheets, data entry and report writing experience. Ability to travel in the state of Minnesota with valid driver’s license. Ability to flex hours as needed to serve student programming
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree. Experience in higher education. Demonstrated knowledge of college recruitment concepts and procedures. Highly motivated and experienced in time management, to include handling a variety of assignments simultaneously.
