Job Description
Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.
The Enrollment Services Specialist will manage every single step of the registration process for all Workforce classes as well as managing the marketing of all Workforce classes via the website, social media, and print materials. The incumbent will collaborate daily Workforce Administrative team, coaches, instructors, and industry partners.
Some of the duties include:
-Entering all registrations for WF Dev.'s non-credit courses in WES (Workforce Enterprise System) and SIS (Student Information System).
-Collecting and process paperwork for WCG, FANTIC, & G3, ensure domicile status of student, and approve eligibility for funding.
-Updating official student records as needed.
-Coordinating with appropriate Workforce Development staff and/or Student Finance staff for student cancellations, refunds, and transfer classes.
-Coordinating with appropriate Workforce Staff on class additions, changes, and cancellations.
-Coordinating with instructors/coordinators on class schedules and grades.
-Ensuring the security, confidentiality and integrity of student academic records and transcript data in compliance with college policies and appropriate state standards.
-Serving as Workforce Development's custodian of student data and records as well as resources for FERPA-related issues.
-Addressing customer service questions in person, over the telephone, and through email, as it relates to classes, schedules, pricing, discounts, refunds, and other college operations to assist visitors and students.
-Processing student's Record of Attendance and Grades in WES for non-credit classes.
This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours during the 12 month period of May 1 - April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

-Demonstrated proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and email software.
-Ability to learn PeopleSoft.
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a diverse public including the ability to draft correspondence and other planning and reporting documents.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Strong customer service skills with a high degree of professionalism.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
