Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
The Enrollment Data Analyst is a key position on the Enrollment Management team and reports directly to the Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management. The position is responsible for building a predictive analytic model for the unit. The Enrollment Data Analyst will be dedicated to predictive work, and the information and reporting needs of enrollment management throughout the student lifecycle. The position will be supported by institutional research, data engineering, and data science.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The mission of Enrollment Management is to work in partnership with the University community to deliver high quality service to facilitate the recruitment, retention and graduation of a diverse student population and also strives to provide service, leadership and transitional student support at North Carolina A&T State University. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to designing, implementing and providing the services necessary to promote student success throughout the entire student life cycle from day one to diploma.
The Office of Enrollment Management is comprised of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid & Scholarships, New Student Programs, and Transfer Articulation. Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the Enrollment Data Analyst is responsible for building a predictive analytic model for the unit. The predictive work will be supported by institutional research, data engineering, and data science; the Enrollment Data Analyst will be dedicated to helping the information and reporting needs of enrollment management throughout the student lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree and 2 years' experience managing software and programs for complex data analytics and metrics to support the area of data science and business intelligence; or a bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience managing software and programs for complex data analytics and metrics to support the area of data science and business intelligence
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Three to Five years of related experience
Experience with creating and using data dashboards
Experience with using Tableau
Experience with using SQL
Strong understanding of higher education administrative data
Previous higher education experience preferred
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
Able to learn independently and work effectively with a wide range of data. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, define task, and follow through is essential, as is the ability to fully document in writing all developmental activity related to information reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written skills are critical.
Must be an effective listener, able to distill complex data and information requirements from a wide range for requesters into responsive data and information products.
Demonstrates an understanding and consideration of the differing needs and concerns of individuals with varying identities, cultures, and backgrounds.
