Position Description:
This position is a full-time 1.0 FTE English Language Development teaching position for grades K-12. This position provides individual and group services that emphasize improved educational performance in the realm of English Language Development for ELLs.
Position Requirements:
- This position is a full-time 1.0 FTE ELD teaching position for grades K-12.
- Provide individual and group services that emphasize improved educational performance in the realm of English Language Development for ELLs
- Administer the ACCESS exam for ELLs
- Provide collaborative consultation and documentation of results including assisting basic education staff with suggestions and implementation of intervention strategies, and providing recommendations and modifications to assist general education staff in working with ELL students in the classroom setting
- Provide/participate in school-wide activities
- Consult with parents, teachers, and other appropriate staff regarding the child’s program and any adaptations/materials needed to facilitate improved performance in the classroom
- Provide direct services through a variety of methods (e.g. classroom presentations, co-teaching in general education settings, in-services to staff, etc.) as needed
- Maintain appropriate data on students to document current levels of performance and other pertinent information. Re-evaluate, as appropriate, to determine progress and future needs for ELD.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with school personnel, students and parents
Qualifications Required:
- Colorado Department of Education’s Teacher License for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (preferred). Otherwise, must hold a Teacher License (Elementary or Secondary) and being in the process of obtaining the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education endorsement.
- Successful completion of an education program by an accredited institution
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating with team members and providing constructive and instructive feedback
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Responsiveness; Follow up and follow through with students, parents, and faculty members
- Knowledge of both Mac and PC, Google

Pay: $54,500.00 - $116,582.00 per year
