Summary: The Hydraulic Institute is seeking a summer intern to support pump industry sustainability research project and program development of student/educational program.
The intern will research and present findings on sustainability initiatives at completion of internship and assist in the creation of educational institute target list, value proposition of student program and creation of relevant resource package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research, compile and present findings on sustainability initiatives of HI member companies
- Assist in research and creation of educational institute target list, contact points, existing student groups and pump curriculum..
- Review existing toolkit/resources and provide recommendations on future student resource package
- Assist HI team with set up of student focus groups and topics/questions for discussion
- Provide support to Membership and Training Managers as needed
- Update Salesforce to add new contact information and create leads
- Review and update HI website
Skills and Qualifications:
- Working toward BS Degree in Sustainability/Mechanical Engineering
- or recent graduate with BS Degree Sustainability/Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent research, verbal and written communication (presentation) and interpersonal skills are required
- Interpretation of statistics and ability to develop reports based on interpretation
- Volunteer leadership experience (e.g. ESW/ASME student chapter) is a plus
- Candidate will need to work well in a team environment as well as independently and be responsible for deadlines and project deliverables
