Job location: Syracuse, NY 13212
Work week: Monday through Friday – core business hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm (so they can start earlier or later if they are working those core hours)
Salary Range: $59,000 to $85,000 + OT

Education / Certifications: Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or other tech degree any equivalent combination of education, training, experience (either military or civilian).
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical skillset
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical datasheets, mechanical drawings, test procedures, and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of and experience using electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, etc.)
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly tooling and techniques
- Must be eligible for Secret Clearance
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with RF circuitry
- Experience working with radars or electronic warfare systems
- Complex circuit board rework experience (hand soldering surface mount components, hot air rework, installing jumper wires, cutting traces)
- Experience fabricating cables (power, data and RF)
- Experience working with fabrication tools (hand tools, power tools)
Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development and/or limited production programs within an engineering laboratory environment.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of intricate circuit boards, sub-systems, and systems utilizing digital and RF test equipment with minimal supervision.
- Participate in the assembly or fabrication of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Conduct rework and repair on electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Establish test stations, build test fixtures, and assemble cables to facilitate functional and operational tests.
- Arrange setup and teardown of systems for testing purposes.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures concerning Quality and Safety.
- Maintain orderly work areas, adhere to good housekeeping practices, and actively engage in improvement initiatives.
- Draft or revise assembly instructions and unit test procedures.
- May undertake lower-level tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
- Alternatively, a comparable combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for a degree.
- Possess 3 or more years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Ability to decipher electrical schematics, technical datasheets, mechanical drawings, test procedures, and assembly instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude.
- Familiarity with and experience using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly tools and techniques.
- Capable of collaborative work within a diverse team environment, with exceptional communication skills.
- Must be eligible to apply for a secret clearance
