Tesla is seeking Engineering Technicians to join our Cell Manufacturing production team. You will be part of a production team that support the development of Cell Manufacturing technology. You will have the opportunity to contribute to both process development and equipment improvement. - Ensure process stability and quality of production output at assigned station
- Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing processes using data query and analysis skills
- Help to develop, maintain, and implement process changes and control plans
- Write and update Manufacturing Instructions
- Support engineering activities including process and equipment validations
- Train and provide leadership for production associates and manufacturing technicians on equipment operation and processes
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to sustain and improve on key process metrics
- Hands-on yield troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Presenting key process metrics with leadership team daily
- Publishing shift reports about root cause analysis and resolution of top yield and quality issues
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 1 professional internship or co-op
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Experience with Beckoff or other PLC programming a plus
- Knowledge of roll-to-roll or web handling a plus
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery is a plus
- Experience in a production setting a plus
- Knowledge in data and statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP is a plus
- Knowledge in SQL, Python or object oriented programing languages is a plus
- Able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics as well as engineering drawings a plus
- Possible travel 1 – 4 weeks per year

$30.50 - $58.33/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
