Tesla Energy is looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to sustain power electronics line equipment. This would include basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, tester and robot recoveries, and mechanical design using CAD.
Available Shift:
C Shift - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday - 7pm - 7am
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot equipment/process faults on the module line and help recover, report, and escalate when needed
- Support Engineers in downtime activities of operation equipment including clear understanding of electrical, mechanical equipment, and PLC
- Help create and modify equipment troubleshooting guides and train operation teams when applicable
- Support Engineers in submitting and managing orders including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, on and offsite logistics, PO creation, and asset management
- Audit spares and add/remove items, change minimum quantities, for all equipment in the line
What You’ll Bring:
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering development environment
- Great engineering drawing skills (CAD)
- Experience with test equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent documentation and project management skills
- Must be able to identify energy sources to disable and verify safety through lock out tag out or other means
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.84 - $36.96 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
