We are looking for an Engineering Technician to assist development and prototyping of lithium ion cells. The candidates should be familiar with lithium ion cell chemistry and manufacturing processes. The candidate will be a key member of a cross functional product development team.
- Electrode manufacturing including coating, pressing, slitting and winding
- Assembly of a variety of lithium ion cell prototypes including coin cell, pouch cell and cylindrical cell
- Document build data with the use of travelers and process documents
- Assist in the optimization of process parameters to improve performance, quality and yield.
- Cell testing and building of cell test fixtures
- Mechanical support and troubleshooting of cell manufacturing equipment
- Experience of working in dry and clean room
- Experience with air-sensitive material and hazardous chemicals
- Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity are required in order to perform delicate assembly tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and high attention to detail
- Experience in cell manufacturing line and roll to roll process is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Windows and MS office
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$24.40 - $65.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
