About Us:

Sentran Electronics is an American manufacturer with a full range of current and voltage sensing components for today’s energy monitoring, conservation, control, and metering. We started out by designing and manufacturing large custom made split current transformers for electrical energy monitoring studies during the early 90’s. Now fast forward to 2023 and we are still going strong. We credit a lot of our success since many of our products are manufactured in the US. Following that our departments and capabilities grow day to day, giving us an edge. Our ability to custom design each product to fit our customers’ needs has always been a top priority for Sentran and will continue to be as the company grows.

About the Position:

An Engineering Technician will be involved in various aspects of project support, documentation, and testing to contribute to the successful execution of engineering projects.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7-3:30pm

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects
  • Collect and analyze data relevant to engineering projects
  • Assist in conducting experiments, tests, and simulations
  • Build and assemble prototypes for engineering evaluation
  • Research materials, components, and technologies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Implement efficiency-enhancing measures as directed by engineers
  • Collaborate with personnel from other departments to facilitate project execution or provide support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of manufacturing or production experience
  • Strong mathematical aptitude
  • Adaptability to changes in project requirements, engineering tasks, or priorities
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job experience and training
  • Ability to work alone with little to no direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology (electronics, mechanical, or a related field)
  • Proficiency in algebra

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of shipping experience in a manufacturing setting, 2+ preferred.
