We are currently seeking to add an Engineering Staff IIIto our Civil Municipal team.
The typical salary range for this position is $89,000 to $117,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position. This is a full-time with benefits position.
PACE provides comprehensive civil engineering services for all types of municipal projects. Our municipal engineers also serve as Engineers of Record for special-purpose districts or designated City Engineers for local municipalities and assist municipal clients on an on-call basis.
Municipal services include CIP design and construction specifications; as-builts for new construction and facility improvements; coordinating with state/federal agencies; facility planning; funding strategies and cost estimates; grant applications and securing project funding; and providing plan reviews.
Our municipal projects primarily focus on water and sewer utilities, stormwater management, watershed planning, road and sidewalk design, parks and trails, public works facilities, stream restoration, environmental restoration, and parking lots/structures.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, technically knowledgeable with strong communication skills and a can-do attitude to assist with stormwater, transportation, and utility design projects in the Pacific Northwest. What you’ll be doing:
- Develop plans, specifications and inspection reports as needed on assigned tasks to see that items are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practice.
- Is technically involved in the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and detailed checking of design computations done by others or general coordination of specific design aspects of a project.
- Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
- Will start to have more client interaction.
What we are looking for:
Requirements:
- 5 - 8 years of engineering experience
- PE Required
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- GIS experience a plus
- Ability to work with team in other offices
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
