- The company Acoustics Engineering Project Manager (EPM) team is looking for an EPM to lead new product and technology development initiatives across Apple products including iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPod, Apple Watch and other products.
- In this highly collaborative, impactful and visible role, the EPM will work with a wide array of partners within Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering and beyond.
Job Description:
- EPMs are fearless organizers who are ready to work with the highly skilled Acoustic, Hardware, and Software Design teams to identify and resolve potential pitfalls to the schedule and risks to the quality of the product.
- In this role, you will work with folks within Acoustics to streamline and implement best design practices.
- You will initiate conversations with cross-functional parters to get buy-ins and support.
- It is a highly collaborative role where you will have the opportunity to oversee an initiative across company product lines.
- Facilitate risk management and communicate status and issues to company executives and the project teams.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of the key partners and identify partners to efficiently drive key decisions.
- Remain in touch with big picture issues.
Key Qualifications:
- Excellent listening, executive presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong cross function coordination and project management skills.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities.
- A minimum 5+ years project management experience.
- A strong technical back ground in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and/or acoustics, and/or software development Experience in consumer hardware and software.
Education:
- BS degree in engineering required.
