Ommo is looking for a bright, highly motivated, and ambitious person to be the company’s first dedicated Engineering Project Manager. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the success of Ommo’s product developments and create scalable project management practices to enable the next phase of growth and effectiveness at Ommo.
As an Engineering Project Manager at Ommo, you will work directly with the executive team to turn the company’s strategic initiatives into actionable projects. You’ll be responsible for driving and managing projects as well as reporting on the results and progress. You must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing with respect to available resources and the company’s most urgent priorities.
Responsibilities
- Organize projects relating to the company’s strategic goals & initiatives.
- Meet with Project stakeholders and create detailed and actionable project plans, including tasks, milestones, product requirements, etc.
- Plan resources for multiple projects utilizing the same R&D team members and identify bottlenecks.
- Manage the execution of projects, holding regular meetings as necessary.
- Hold project retrospectives and continuously improve the accuracy of schedule forecasts for ongoing projects/programs.
- Create and present progress on schedule and budget to the executive team.
- Make improvements to the company’s project management processes, workflows, and systems.
- Create a structured and repeatable process for project meetings and scrums.
- Streamline cross-functional communication between stakeholders of various projects, and eliminate silos wherever they exist.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering or PM, 2 of which must be in project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Familiarity and experience with multi-disciplinary hardware and product development
- Familiarity and experience with manufacturing projects
- Experience with Agile, Kanban and Scrum methodologies
- Experience using project management platforms such as Clickup, Atlassian/Jira, Monday, etc.
- Self motivated and capable of driving and leading projects
- Good planning and time management skills
- Capable of understanding highly technical concepts as necessary for dependency planning.
- Comfortable with and capable of solving very complex and ambiguous problems and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Experience with ISO13485 quality system
- Experience with Clickup
- Experience as a PM in a startup at a similar stage
- Medical devices development experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
