Perchwell is growing our team to build the workflow data platform for all residential real estate, a $4T industry (roughly 17% of US GDP) impacting the lives of every single American. As a complete market intelligence, search, and collaboration solution, we partner with forward-thinking MLS (Multiple Listing Service) organizations and brokerages to drive the industry forward.
What we're looking for
- Manager who can lead a technical team to build new product capabilities
- Expertise in planning, processes, and people management
- Ability to deliver projects in a timely manner
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Professional experience building software products at scale
What you'll do
- Lead software development teams as People Manager and Tech Lead of 2-6 people within Perchwell.
- Build out ETL tooling and data pipelines, consuming data into our system from 3rd party data sources and APIs
- Build out team processes and culture around ownership and accountability
- Project manage competing priorities and multiple streams of work
- Partner with Data Analyst team that will act as partner team to conduct analysis, dashboards, and quality assessments
- Continue to build the Perchwell engineering organization by helping to recruit great people
Required for the role
- 5+ years experience of software development using Python, Ruby, Java, SQL
- 3+ years data processing experience
- 1+ year of management experience
- Experience building data pipelines
- Team performance management experience
- Product development processes and best practices, including code quality, bug prioritization, code refactoring, and documentation
- Hiring and team development
- Team execution and deliverables
- Agile project management
- Good communication to different stakeholders
- Prior success as an individual contributor software engineer. You are technical.
In this role, you'll work out of our New York City HQ in Soho Manhattan at least 3 days/week.
