As an Engineering Manager, you are a key member of engineering leadership, collaborating with other engineering and product leadership to guide effective software delivery and a healthy product engineering org. Your experience and leadership will help product engineering continue to evolve in all aspects of delivery excellence and technical excellence, both within your team and as a product engineering org. You will lead and mentor your individual team across product delivery, technical practices, teamwork, collaboration, and their personal career development. You will help ensure that your team is happy and working well together. You will work cross-functionally with Product and Design peers to guide our delivery roadmap and decision-making in bringing the best products and user experiences to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee software delivery for complex distributed systems and applications
- Collaborate with senior members of the Engineering, Product, and Design teams to shape and drive successful product roadmap delivery, leveraging engineering best practices
- Effectively communicate and collaborate across functions and groups to influence our strategic direction, helping to drive improvements in the technology stack, user experience, and technical and delivery standards and practices
- Solve complex problems without overly complex solutions
- Accountable for the technical health of your team
- Elevate engineering and operational excellence by maintaining high standards and best practices in technical design, quality, and delivery
- Help ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, and other best practices
- Manage hiring of strong full-time employees and embedded contractors to ensure a well-rounded, highly effective team
- Responsible for team health, ensuring a happy, well-functioning, and collaborative team
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and empathetic culture that empowers team members to grow and succeed
- Guide and mentor your reports in their career development
- Operate in a rapidly evolving environment, adapting and prioritizing as needed to ensure success
- Be a business-minded and product-oriented technical leader, maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding products
- Understand strategic goals of the business
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of engineering management experience
- 10+ years of overall software development experience, with a strong background in .Net-based solutions
- Extensive technical experience in designing and implementing SaaS products at scale, with a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, maintainability, and scalability
- A track record of successful delivery of SaaS products, including strong skills in estimation, planning, and risk management
- Demonstrated experience collaborating on and influencing decisions to achieve cross-team alignment on major goals
- A history of successfully leading well-functioning teams and mentoring and coaching engineers
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and evangelize complex ideas simply and clearly
- Familiarity with Azure a strong plus
