Solatube International, Inc. (A Kingspan Company) is a leader in sustainable building products. We offer state-of-the-art skylights, ventilation systems and other daylighting products for commercial and residential application.
To help us continue to grow our offerings, we’re searching for an Engineering Manager to oversee the various functions of our engineering department, including new product development, manufacturing engineering and mold/press tooling team. You excel at managing teams, driving innovation and promote efficiency within the tool and dye shop.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams within R&D, engineering, and the tool and die shop.
- Set clear goals, delegate tasks, and ensure the team is aligned with project objectives.
- Head the development of new product concepts, working from ideation to prototyping and validation.
- Oversee the development and testing of prototypes to validate product designs and functionality.
- Manage the rapid iteration and refinement of prototypes to meet design specifications.
- Oversee the design and implement efficient production assembly cells and manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Optimize production methods to enhance quality, reduce costs, and meet production goals.
- Ensure the safety and ergonomics of the production assembly environment.
- Plan and execute complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of the tool and die shop.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Manage tool and die manufacturing and repair projects, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of personnel management experience.
- Proven experience in managing R&D, engineering, and tool and die shop operations.
- Strong leadership, team management, and project management skills.
- Expertise in product development, prototyping, and production process optimization.
- Knowledge of product development processes, engineering principles, and tool and die machining techniques.
- Proficiency with Solidworks or related 3D modeling software
- Experience with Injection Mold Tooling and Deep Draw Press Tooling preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
