Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining the hospital key system and installation and repair of door hardware and locks within the hospital.
Responsibilities:
* Prioritizes and schedules outstanding work requests.
* Examines plans for proposed work, estimates and prepare orders for materials required.
* Manage the inventory of material on hand. Identify and requisition additional material, as it is needed.
* Repairs and / or installs door hardware and locks.
* Bore and core doors for the installation of locking systems hardware; maintain locking systems by repairing, pinning and replacing cylinders as needed.
* Maintain the hospital key system.
* Duplicate keys as authorized by work orders.
* Install, program, maintain and repair electronic locking system (e.g. T2 Trilogy Digital Locks).
* Maintain cabinet key system - change out cam locks for desks, cabinets, etc as needed.
* Subject to call back hours and weekends. Perform other duties and special projects as required.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
You may be required to float occasionally to other Children's Health locations including Dallas, Plano and THD Clinics.

EDUCATION
* High school diploma or equivalent Req
* Effective 1/14/21 Current employees have until 3/1/2021 to complete Course in Nation Fire Protection Association (NFPA 80) required. New hires have 6 months after date of hire to complete Nation Fire Protection Association (NFPA 80) required Req
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Obtain TX Depart of Public Safety -Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) Locksmith certification within 6 months of employment Required. Req
