Job description

               Elgin Fastener Engineering Internship                                                                                           

Benefits:

  • Pay will be $22-25/hour, depending on year in school, GPA and related coursework and prior related internship experience.

What you will do:
You will be able to participate in a wide variety of projects, from participating and leading time studies to support production efficiencies and cost accounting accuracies, to machine and plant safety improvements, to even front-end business process improvements.

 

The ideal candidate:
A strong, mechanically inclined and curious individual who will be self-driven to identify, participate in, and lead projects that will benefit the organization and employees.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Students, Junior or Senior standing, prefer GPA above 2.75.
  • Understanding of Machine Shop Tools/Processes/Technology.
  • Ability to use Autocad Software.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and telephonic.
  • Solid Microsoft Windows capabilities.                                                                                                                                                                                             

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong ability & understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Understanding how to plan and conduct Time Studies.
