Quality Process Engineer Intern 1

Quality Process Engineer Internship Summary: The Quality Process Engineer will assist th quality engineering team to collect data, analyze manufacturing process defects, propose and implement corrective actions.
Department: Quality Assurance
Location: 325 Marmon Drive Bolingbrook,Illinois on site
Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F
Duties & Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities in order of priority

• Model and document process flow and steps of current site manufacturing processes.
• With supervising quality engineer identify failure modes that can occur in the process.
• Participate as part of team to generate concepts to prevent and detect failures in the process.
• Be part of the team that implements improvements in both process and detection methods.

Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
Working towards a Bachelors degree in: Any engineering discipline
Majors/Minors: Courses inStatistics, Data analytics, Manufacturing planning among nice to haves
Specific systems/tools/software nice to haves

• Excel, Statistical software (Minitab, Matlab, JMP, etc)

Highly desired skills

• System thinker

Soft Skills:

• Good powers of observation
• Comfortable with interviewing personnel to get information

Travel if any: None
Plan for first 30-60-90 days:

• Quality engineering will select a process to be studied
• As part of team perform the activities described in the Duties and Responibilities
