Step into Your New Role

The Kleinfelder Northern California area is looking for a Drafter to join our team in any of our Northern California office locations (i.e. Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Stockton, Oakland, Fresno, or San Jose). The Drafter will prepare drawings and exhibits for design. Drawing components include point of interest location maps, topographic interpretation maps, surface/subsurface plan and profile maps for long linear projects (i.e. highways, levees, transmission lines, etc.), and drafting of subsurface exploration logs. The Drafter will work on projects of limited complexity in a support role and work is closely managed.

Consideration for a Drafter position requires the following qualifications or experience:

• In progress of completing Associate degree, CAD Certification
• 0-2 years' relevant experience or CAD Classroom training in lieu of experience
• Proficiency in current versions AutoCAD
• ArcGIS understanding preferred
• gINT and/or Openground software understanding preferred 
• Proficient use of MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be a self-starter and work independently with conflicting deadlines
• Must be able to work well in a team environment
• Understanding of document control applications such as ProjectWise preferred
• Produce quality drawings and provide constructive peer reviews
• Reading and understanding maps, plat maps, as-builts, and construction drawings
• Effective communication - written and verbal
• Attention to detail and precision
• Takes pride in their work

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $20.07 / hr - 35.11 / hr.
