Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Knowledge and/or experience in structural design, water and waste water design and treatment systems, and geotechnical knowledge and design.
Proficient in Auto CAD, hydraulics-pumping systems, and construction surveying.
Ability to drive a state vehicle to various job site locations.
Ability to obtain and maintain certified purchaser status.

To qualify for Range D, incumbents must possess a valid certificate of registration as a Civil Engineer issued by the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
