Job description

Position Overview: The Data Analyst Intern for Summer 2023 will be responsible for providing a recommendation on how we can automate our order entry process further. This individual will be review the current order automation processes, investigate possible solutions, and make a final recommendation with data to support.
Location: Getzville, NY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Information Systems (IS) and Channel Services team to understand current order entry processes
  • Map all current and future order entry paths in Visio
  • Provide continuous feedback to Customer Service Manager on process improvements
  • Research additional methods for order automation (Expanded EDI capabilities, PDF Reader, or otherwise)
  • Create data analysis for each method to show total dollars saved and spent by implementing
  • Assist in developing an implementation plan for desired method
  • Provide final recommendation for next automation project for order entry
  • Create final presentation for leadership team on project path and final recommendation
  • Building relationships with decision makers in both channel services and IS teams
  • Participate in lean projects and process improvements
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
  • Ability to project manage independently
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio preferred, not required
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering
    • Junior year student, preferred
