Xendat is currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Analyst with Engineering experience within the Pharmaceutical sector to build data foundations and tools to craft the future.
You will design and implement scalable, extensible and highly available data pipelines on large volume data sets, that will enable impactful insights & strategy for our products. We are looking for an Engineering Data Analyst to contribute to our team from April through the end of the year. We value a positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to use data Management to advance our clients' Data Management within pharmaceutical sciences and engineering.
Responsibilities:
Data Management Review Board (DMRB) Support:
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional data requests and issues within manufacturing and supply chain functions.
- Maintain and update the DMRB Playbook and Process Flow.
- Schedule and run weekly DMRB meetings and office hours.
- Expand the DMRB to include external manufacturing and supply chain systems and functions.
Cataloging & Data Management:
- Conduct high-level/holistic data modeling across key data domains for end-user analytical needs.
- Support Collibra by compiling Data Elements, running gap analyses, and collaborating with the Collibra Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Collaborate with system and business functions to collect attribute definitions, rules, and metadata for in-scope systems and processes.
- Identify, engage, and train data stewards and custodians for continuous maintenance and improvement of the data catalog.
Policies, Procedures, Requirements & Standards:
- Support Quality Information System Management (QISM) and Quality Assurance (QA) in addressing data quality, integrity, or consistency gaps.
- Establish roles for managing data quality, integrity, or consistency related to non-GxP in-scope systems or business processes.
- Profile and analyze manufacturing datasets to ensure data readiness for downstream applications.
- Develop or augment policies and procedures for Data Management.
Training, Awareness, Value Realization & Communication:
- Create, update, and report Data Management metrics to demonstrate business value.
- Author periodic IMAQ DM newsletters (monthly and quarterly).
- Ensure cross-functional awareness and support for the DM team's roles and responsibilities.
- Engage in diverse connections with teams through leadership discussions, site visits, town halls, team meetings, and 1:1 outreach.
- Intensify efforts to raise awareness, provide education, and secure commitments to data governance practices across all functions.
Cross-Functional Integration Support:
- Author and maintain compliance with QMD-0006 for manually entered master data.
- Ensure IMAQ Data Governance Requirements are met for each integration, collaborating with system, business functions, and project managers.
- Collect and drive requirements for cross-functional/system integrations to closure.
- Conduct data quality evaluations through stakeholder engagement, data profiling, and system investigations.
Scaling & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities and lead efforts to improve or standardize processes within the Data Management team.
- Develop and maintain templates and artifacts.
- Regularly evaluate and improve Data Management processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency, quality, and value realization.
Qualifications:
- Experience using data tools such as Excel, R, SQL, Python, Smartsheets, etc.
- Engineering background preferred over extensive Data Management experience.
- Strong computer literacy, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Can-do attitude with a focus on achieving goals and overcoming challenges.
- Ability to navigate independently towards objectives.
- Quick learner with the ability to understand a cross-functional complex environment.
