What you will be doing:
This is a mid/senior-level project manager position working under a senior project manager. This position functions as a facilities design and construction manager requiring an intermediate level of knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering/architecture and project management. This position will manage, coordinate, and administer multiple intermediate to large sized complex facilities projects, and may supervise subordinate engineering assistants or project inspectors.

Engineer/Architect 2
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect, and one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineering Associate with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent.
Engineer/Architect 3
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect, and three years of professional engineering or architectural experience (Engineer/Architect series), or the equivalent.

Note: Persons not registered in the State of Alaska must be registered in a state recognized by the State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers and Land Surveyors eligible for comity in accordance with AS 08.48.191(b). FLEXIBLY STAFFEDThis position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the Engineer/Architect 2 or Engineer/Architect 3 level, depending on the applicant's training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. If filled at Level 1, promotion to the Level 2 will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training, as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.
