Job Description
Mission Technologies is hiring a motivated Software Engineer to support an Air Force research laboratory focused on the test, evaluation, and validation of RF spectrum warfare systems. HII engineers design, develop, build, and test specialized electronic solutions for bench and field use to support the goals of the laboratory. Commercially-off-the-shelf and custom hardware solutions are utilized to construct test systems. The associated software and firmware are developed and maintained in-house. The ideal candidate will work with an engineering team and is expected to support all stages of the software engineering processes including requirements, design, implementation, test, and archiving. The position is located at WPAFB in Ohio, where the majority of the work will take place. Occasionally, travel will be required to support field tests and other facilities.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications
0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
Experience in the following areas will be beneficial for the position:

• Software design/development/integration/testing.
• Proficient in C, C++, and Java.
• Experience with programming scripts including Python, Perl, Bash, and/or others.
• Familiar with embedded software development using assembly and C.
• Familiar in developing software on the following operating system environments: Linux and/or Windows.

Physical Requirements
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
