Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in a rotational learning program. Will report and interact with different levels and locations of the organization.
- Learn each job assigned and participate in all job responsibilities.
- Recommend and implement changes to product or process which would improve cost, delivery, and quality for the customer.
- Assure product adheres to the company standards and leads problem solving teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of technical developments within the industry and assists with the design of manufacturing systems.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of processes by increasing throughput, reducing internal reject and reducing scrap rates.
- Analyze data to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Apply problem solving methodology to find root causes and equipment failure and implement changes to eliminate repetitive failures.
- Understand, implement and continually improve the UCC Quality System.
- Follow UCC Quality System-approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed.
- Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete monthly Safety Observations and attend UCC Connect Meetings.
Preferred Experience, Training, and Skills:
- A high level of technical competence for sustaining development of various programs.
- Can present and gain support to ideas and changes.
Preferred Education: Four-year engineering degree; or four-year degree in related field.
